In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of banned rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine group.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
